Frequently Asked Questions

Full payment for your album and design service is due when you place your order. If you choose to add more pages or upgrade to a different album, the extra cost is paid when the final design is approved, before your album is sent to production.
While placing your order, you will select your preferences for design style, album size, cover style, and the number of pages. You can also choose to have your designer recommend the best style based on the images you submit. (The styles page is a guide to help you decide what you like.)
During checkout, our custom tool will upload them for you. You won’t have to learn how to use any FTP programs, or any complicated file sending methods. You won’t even have to fill up your Dropbox account to send pictures to us.
Our order placement page will guide you with the approximate number of images to submit, based on the style and album options you choose. You can choose between 1-4 images per page/side. However, to avoid having layouts that are too busy or crowded, the general rule of thumb is 1-2 images per page/side. Also keep in mind that the more images you have in a layout, the smaller those images will be in the layout.
All files must be high-resolution, print quality JPEG (.jpg) files.
Absolutely, we know that the hardest part of submitting your order is trimming your pictures down to the absolute favorites you want to include in your album. When placing your order, you’ll have the option to only submit the suggested quantity of images needed for the design, or submit more images than the suggested amount (500 maximum) and have your designer select the images that work well together to best tell the story. If you choose to have your designer select the images, feel free to send a list of your “must use” favorites. It will help your designer create a design that you are guaranteed to love with the first draft.
No, because everyone’s taste is different, and many photographers apply special effects to their images, we don’t take the risk of making you images look different than the way the photographer intended them to look. However, your designer may suggest converting some images to B&W during the design process, if he/she feels it enhances the design.
All designs and revisions are completed within 5 business days.
The minimum number of pages in an album is 20 pages (10 spreads). The maximum is 100 pages (50 spreads).
Once your design is ready, we will send you a private link to preview your design. (See sample here) You can approve, enter comments and request changes for each individual layout in the design – the approvals, change requests and comments is sent to us when the “Submit changes” button is clicked.

We’ve even made it easy to share your album with your family and friends. They will receive a link and be able to view your slideshow, but they won’t have the approval comments link. Sharing via Twitter or Facebook buttons will instantly connect to your Twitter or Facebook account with your album link.

Yes, we can design albums for any occasion such as engagements, family portraits, boudoirs, events, parties, senior graduations, retirements, vacations, anniversaries, etc.
You can request as many changes as you want during each round of revisions. Three rounds of unlimited revisions are included in the price – more than enough to make all the changes you want. Unlimited revisions include swapping images, changing layouts, or completely changing design styles! Most designs are finalized and approved after the first round of revisions. Additional revisions (after the third round) are billed at a rate of $2 per page ($4 per spread).
No. We offer design services as a convenience to the customers who purchase our albums.
You have four months (120 days) from the time we complete your 1st draft to finalize and approve your album design. At the four month mark, you will have the option to pay a $25 storage fee to keep your order open. Otherwise, we will deduct the design fee plus any discounts applied to the order, and refund the remaining balance paid for the album. The design and images will be purged from the system at that time. If you pay the $25 fee to keep your order open, we will keep your album design on file for up to one year. If you don’t finalize it after one year, it will be purged from our system.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal, so all major credit cards are accepted.
Yes, absolutely! Just tell us what you want and we’ll be glad to add it.
Our album design service comes with a 100% satisfaction or your money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the 1st draft of your design, we will issue a full refund – no questions asked.
Once your album design is approved, your album is printed, professionally bound and then carefully inspected before it is packaged in a black album box and shipped to you. This process takes 8 to 12 business days in house, plus shipping time.
Orders within the continental US are typically shipped via Fed Ex Ground, which generally takes from 1-2 business days to most locations east of the Mississippi, and 4-5 business days to the west coast. International orders are shipped via the shipping method you choose during checkout. We recommend DHL which generally arrives within 3 business days.
We offer our design service with flush mount photo albums only, in the following sizes: 10 x 10, 12×12, 11×14, 14×11, and 15×10.
We count album pages the same way pages are numbered in a book or magazine. A page is one side of the sheet of paper. A spread is a set of pages viewed together, such as the two facing pages visible when you open a book. A page is measured from one edge of an open album to the center, while a spread is the entire distance from one edge to the other. One spread is equal to two pages. Due to the way our album pages are printed, you must purchase two pages (one full spread) at a time.
