Textbooks

This passage is an analysis of the changes of <a href=”https://www.spotoclub.com/ccna-ccnp-ccie-written-certifications-exam-fee-10026/”>knowledge points of CCNA</a> textbooks.

The latest versions of CCNA Certification Guide Volume I and Volume II have been officially released. We will comprehensively analyze the changes of knowledge points in this set of textbooks.

Open CCNA Certification Guide Volume I and we can find that it is divided into 8 parts and we are familiar with the first 7 parts. The eight parts are:

1. Network Introduction;

2. Deploy Ethernet LAN;

3. Deploy VLAN and VTP;

4. IPv4 Addressing;

5. IPv6 Routing;

6. OSPF;

7. IPv6;

8. Wireless LAN (newly added).

It seems that the content ofthe latest version of Volume 1 has not changed much from the old version.

Then open Volume II of CCNA Certification Guide and we can see it is divided into seven parts, which include:

1. Access Control List;

2. Security Services;

3. IP Service;

4. Network Architecture;

5. Network Automation.

The last two parts are review and Q&A

To summarize the changes in CCNA textbooks, Cisco’s curriculum design is closer to the deployment environment of the existing network, deleting some old knowledge points, simplifying the unimportant parts, and deleting the EIGRP routing protocol.

The newly added content includes wireless foundation, switch security, network architecture (design), and network automation. It is not difficult to see that these contents are part of the technical points of the new enterprise network architecture model.

On the premise that CCNA class hours remain unchanged, we have expanded the content in so many directions, which requires us to master more network technologies and fully understand the enterprise network architecture model in the process of CCNA learning.

This painstaking design also helps to lay the foundation for CCIE EI certification, because now in the CCIE EI certification exam, some knowledge points about SD Access, SD WAN and automation scripts have also been included.

It is a new challenge for students learning network: we need to spend more time studying and experimenting, which is also an opportunity: we can learn new knowledge and skills and focus on better career development in the future.

The new Cisco’s CCNA textbooks also have new requirements for the teaching plan of our CCNA certification training instructors. As an official certified training instructor of Cisco, I quickly obtained the new teaching plan. It is worth mentioning that in addition to the training period of 5 days, the CCNA teaching plan also outlines the content of self-study. It can be seen that after more than 20 years of promotion and popularization of the CCIE certification system, Cisco believes that the new generation of network engineers should have a certain self-learning ability.

We often joke that learning is an anti-human activity, and those who can persist learning can be said to be “non-human” geniuses. How to become a genius? It is believed that only by taking learning as an interest can we achieve certain success in the network industry.
