Rain, humidity, and too many hair products can all impact your hair on the big day. We stumbled on this great article from Wedding Ideas Magazine.com with great tips for avoiding wedding hair disasters. The article shares some great tips from the experts at Hairtrade.com who see brides and their bridesmaids all the time and are pretty confident in the advice they give out the most. These are some great stylist tips for stress-free wedding hair.
One of the biggest pieces of advice: “Trying new colours and styles is a big no.” If you’re thinking of experimenting with a new cut, color, or style, do so well in advance of the big day. You’re going to be stressed enough before the ceremony, don’t add in the worry of new hair. Everyone needs a time to settle and adjust to new hair. Give yourself several weeks to get comfortable with your new do.

Another piece of advice is to be prepared. You can follow the weather forecast, get married somewhere with low humidity, or choose an indoor locale, but things happen. Pack some extra hold hairspray to fix any flyaways. There are so many great strong – but flexible – hold options now, you can get great style without helmet hair.

The hair experts also recommend to do a trial run with your stylist. You can get comfortable with her or him, and that stylist can get to know you and your preferences and vision for the day. You can also get some ideas that you may have not even considered before. If you’re having a destination wedding or can’t get into see a stylist beforehand, bring pictures of hairstyles with you and allow for as much extra time as possible.
