Today, we have another cute and simple (not to mention, cost-effective) project. This is a fun and fast birdhouse nightlight DIY. This is perfect for a child’s room nightlight. It’s a great project to do with your own littles, or a sweet present for a new wee one. This is such a great addition to a bedroom, makes a big impact on a wall, and it is probably one of the fastest projects around. We guarantee you’ll get tons of compliments about how crafty you are, which is also a plus.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Wood bird house. Choose from a variety at your local craft store. We found ours at Michael’s for $4.99
1 inch hole saw
Screw or nail to mount onto the wall
Paint and decorations (optional)
Drill a hole into the bottom center of the birdhouse with your 1 inch hole saw
Coat the birdhouse with polyurethane to seal the wood, or paint it to your heart’s content! We coated ours but left it in all it’s natural wood glory. If your kids are helping out, go crazy with paint, glitter, sequins, and throw on some macaroni noodles for good measure.
Mount onto the wall above or near an outlet
Seriously. You’re done.
SO simple and so cute!
